For USMLE Step 1, the ideal time to begin tutoring is 8 to 12 weeks before your scheduled exam date, though students benefit from support as early as their first year of medical school coursework. For USMLE Step 2 CK, starting 6 to 10 weeks out is common, especially during dedicated study blocks. That said, it is never too late.
